Privacy Policy

ZipTrail and Rani · Effective: October 11, 2026

This policy explains how Shiva Suthapalli, the developer of the puzzle games ZipTrail and Rani (“the games,” “we,” “us”), handles information when you use either game on iPhone or Android. Both games work the same way, so this policy covers both.

Short version: The games have no accounts and no servers of their own. Your progress, settings and streak stay on your device. Ads are served by Google AdMob, and purchases are handled by Apple or Google with RevenueCat. Reminders are scheduled on your device. For adults outside Europe, the games count anonymous gameplay events with Google Analytics for Firebase. We don't sell your information.

1. Information stored on your device

Your levels, stars, coins, hints, daily-puzzle streak, sound and reminder settings, and which purchases you own are saved only on your device. We don't receive them. Uninstalling the app deletes them. Your device's own backups (iCloud or Google) may include them, according to your device settings.

2. Advertising (Google AdMob)

Each game asks for a broad age group before starting advertising services. The choice is saved only on your device; we do not ask for your birth date or send your age group to an advertising provider. Players under 13 receive no ad requests. For players aged 13–17 and players who choose not to disclose their age, the app marks every ad request for Google's teen treatment: ads are not personalised, no consent form is shown, and ad content is limited to teen-appropriate material. Adults (18+) receive standard ads, subject to the consent choices below.

Players aged 13 and over can choose a video to earn a hint and may see an occasional full-screen ad between levels from level 12. To deliver and measure these ads, Google AdMob may process your device's advertising identifier (on Android), IP address, general location derived from it, device and app information, ad interactions, diagnostics, and your consent choices.

3. Purchases (Apple, Google, RevenueCat)

Apple or Google processes payments for Remove Ads and Solutions. We never receive your card or bank details. When the purchase service connects, RevenueCat creates an anonymous app user identifier. RevenueCat receives purchase and transaction information to confirm and restore purchases and prevent fraud. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy. An access code supplied for store review is verified and stored locally, separately from purchases.

4. Reminders

If you turn on daily reminders, they are scheduled by your device's own notification system. Nothing is sent to us. The app asks for notification permission only after you choose to be reminded, and you can turn reminders off in Settings at any time.

5. Sharing

When you share an invite or your daily result, your device's share sheet sends it to the app you choose. The games do not access your contacts.

6. Analytics and diagnostics

If you chose 18+ and you are outside the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, the games use Google Analytics for Firebase to count how they are played: finishing the tutorial, starting and finishing levels (with stars, hints used and time taken), solving the daily puzzle, using hints, ads shown, and purchases. Firebase receives these events with an app-instance identifier, basic device and app information, and a general location derived from your IP address. It does not collect your advertising ID or Android ID, and it is not used for advertising. It stays off for players who chose a younger age group or prefer not to say, and in those regions. Google keeps this data for up to 14 months. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

AdMob may collect diagnostics when advertising is enabled, as described above. Apple and Google may provide us with aggregated crash and performance reports if you have allowed this in your device settings.

7. Teens and younger players

The games are designed for teens ages 13+ and adults. They are not directed to children under 13. Advertising services remain disabled for players who select under 13; teens and players who don't disclose their age receive only non-personalised, teen-appropriate ads. Analytics runs only for players who chose 18+. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will help.

8. Legal bases (EEA and UK)

Where consent is required for advertising, adults see Google's consent form, which lets them choose whether to allow personalised ads and related processing. You can update your choices in Settings → Ad privacy choices. Declining personalised ads does not prevent you from playing. Purchase information is processed to provide and restore the features you buy.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of personal data, and to complain to a data-protection authority. Uninstalling the app removes local progress and settings; it does not delete data held by Google or RevenueCat. Contact us for help with requests concerning provider-held data. The games do not offer user accounts or an automated data-deletion service.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the app or the law changes; the effective date above will change with it. Questions or requests: cynodev256@gmail.com.
